On the 6th December 1990 the Valhalla was under tow of the fishing vessel Ocean Queen from Whitehaven to Girvan for repairs when she sprang a leak and foundered 6 miles from the Isle of Whithorn.
Unfortunately, after careful research, I have been unable to find any press reports or details of the sinking and no photograph of this actual vessel which is surprising for so recent a ship. Valhalla is a popular name for fishing vessels and only photos of more modern ships are to be found. If anyone has any further information we would love to hear from you so that we can expand this section on the history of the ship.
